Workers were still busy on the slipway work site of DSIC (a subsidiary of CSIC) in this National Holiday. They were working around the clock to accelerate the progress of vessels for Maersk. Along with a long siren, the No. 5 115K ton crude/product oil tanker for Maersk was launched successfully on 6th Oct. 2021.
This series of vessels were the new generation of crude/product oil tanker independently designed, developed and built by DSIC, and have excellent performance in fuel efficiency and loading capacity. It is equipped with FRAMO deep well pump and energy-efficient guide wheel to improve greatly the efficiency of propulsion system. The vessel has finished powering and commissioning of engines before the launching, finished the airtightness of ballast tanks 21 days before the launching and finished the inspection on airtightness of all cabins before launching, which were the first time for Maersk vessels.
This vessel has a total length of 250m, width of 44.0m, depth of 21.9m, design draft of 13.75m, structural draft of 15.35m and dead weight of 115K ton. |
