Naming of Maersk Tanker P110K-45!

On March 10^th, DSIC held the naming ceremony of 115,000 DWT crude oil/product tanker P110K-45. The tanker was named MAERSK SCARLETT.

It’s a new generation of crude oil/product tanker featured with excellent fuel economy and cargo carrying performance. The tanker is with total length of 250m, moulded breadth of 44.0m and moulded depth of 21.9m. Its cargo hold area is of double hulls, double bottoms, single deck and longitudinal-framed structure; which is divided into 6 pairs of cargo holds, 1 pair of slop tank and 1 residual oil tank. There are 6 pairs of ballast tanks on both sides of the cargo holds.

The tanker has a good matching design of vessel, engine and propeller, and is equipped with an energy-saving guide wheel, which fully improves the efficiency of the propulsion system. Reasonable matching between engine and propeller, room layout and structural design realize outstanding design index of vibration and noise, and the index of vibration and noise for the cabin is excellent.
