On September 16, Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Corporation (SSIC) of DSIC held the naming and delivery ceremony for the fourth 85,000dwt bulk carrier built for Avic International Leasing Corporation. The ship was named “SDTR DORIS”.
SSIC will totally build a series of 10 85,000dwt bulk carriers for Avic International Leasing Corporation. The ship has total length of 227.2m, shape width of 36m, shape depth of 20.35m, design draft of 11.5m, and structural draft of 13.75m. It is energy-saving and environment-friendly bulk carrier with excellent speed, carrying capacity, fuel consumption and other indicators. It is currently the main type of ship built by SSIC. The excellent energy-saving and environmental protection performance of the ship is favored by the shipowner.
The ship, which was delivered 22 days ahead of annual schedule, is the seventh ship delivered by SSIC this year. It will be leased to SDTR Marine, the subsidiary of Shandong Shipping Corporation.
