On August 19, the new generation No.101 VLCC of 307,000dwt built by DSIC for Dynacom of Greece , was successfully delivered.
Ship type profile
The ship is about 333 meters long, nearly the length of 35 trucks of 5-ton laid end to end. It is 60 meters wide, with deck area of more than 18,000 square meters, close to three standard football fields. The moulded depth is 30 meters, and the height from the bottom to the cab of the ship is close to the height of a 20-story building; The total length of cables used exceeds 220km.
The ship is a new generation of star VLCC developed by DSIC. The application of optimized hull lines, more energy-efficient green main engine, high-efficient propeller and pre-paddle energy-saving device, matching exhaust gas desulfurization device, ensure that the shipowner can navigate with high sulfur fuel at lower price. The comprehensive energy-saving effect and environmental-protection level have been significantly improved, and the performance indicators have reached the world-class level. With good port and channel applicability, it can carry more than 2 million barrels of crude oil freely through the Strait of Malacca at design draft of 20.5 meters. The daily fuel consumption of the ship at designed draft and service speed is about 3.3 tons lower than that of the previous generation ship, and the daily fuel consumption of the ship at ballast draft and service speed is about 4.5 tons lower than that of the previous generation ship. Based on the annual operation of 300 days, the annual fuel cost of about 6.5 million yuan can be saved. |
