A Medal “Lifetime Dedication to Ocean” Awarded to Shen Wen-sun from DSIC

The State Oceanic Administration recently held the national conference on ocean science and technology innovation. On the conference, recommended by CSIC, Shen Wen-sun from DSIC, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, won the commemorative medal “Lifetime Dedication to Ocean”.

Shen is the only academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering in China’s shipbuilding enterprises and the ship design expert with widely influence and high reputation in China’s shipbuilding field. The commemorative medal “Lifetime Dedication to Ocean”, specially granted to senior academicians older than 80 who make the outstanding contributions to marine affairs, is established to promote the prominent contributions and the dedication spirit of the older academicians and experts in ocean science and technology innovation, and to call for the staff in field of ocean science and technology to carry forward the cause pioneered by the predecessors and forge ahead into the future.

This honor fully reflects that Shen made the extraordinary services in ship technology and research, with great contributions to pushing forward the development of ocean science and technology innovation and marine affairs.
