On November 11, the fifth 85,000dwt bulk carrier “SDTR ERICA” built by Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Corporation (SSIC) of DSIC for Avic International Leasing Corporation (AVIC) was successfully delivered in form of “cloud contract”.
SSIC will build a total of 10 85,000dwt bulk carriers for AVIC. The ship has total length of 227.2m, shape width of 36m, shape depth of 20.35m, design draft of 11.5m and structural draft of 13.75m. It is an energy-saving and environment-friendly bulk carrier with good speed, load capacity, fuel consumption and other indicators.
During construction process, all the participants united, strengthened production planning and technical breakthrough, continuously promoted production improvement and design optimization, realized generator auto termination from operation in dock, handover and acceptance of the boiler boiling etc. and improvement of undocking integrity. Especially encountering extreme snowstorm in the early stage of ship delivery, the project team and production departments took initiatives to clean up snow on site in time, ensure the construction environment, and complete the remaining coating on deck, which created favorable conditions for delivery 8 days ahead of the annual line table. |
