On Aug. 6, DSIC held the signing ceremony for Strategic Cooperation (Framework) Agreement on Innovation and Industrialization of Industrial Chain on Hydrogen/Ammonia Production Powered By Offshore Wind. Four parties, i.e. DSIC, Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Guochuang Hydrogen Energy and CSSC Haizhuang Wind Power Co., Ltd. signed their names on the agreement. In “cloud” witness of relevant leaders from Guochuang Hydrogen Energy, CSSC Science and Technology Department and CSSC Haizhuang Wind Power Co., Ltd. in the way of online video, leaders from Dalian Development and Reform Commission, Dalian Municipal Science and Technology Bureau and China Association for Hydrogen Energy and Mr. Yang Zhizhong and Mr. Zheng Wei who are leaders from DSIC joined in the signing ceremony.

Mr. Yang Zhizhong pointed out in in speech that: four parties’ signing of strategic agreement this time is a “transboundary” cooperation which crosses industries and professions. It’s the state’s great development strategy that gives our mission and common development prospect connects us closely. As the largest final assembly shipbuilding enterprise under CSSC, DSIC has a strong ability in research and development and manufacture of marine equipment. We will carry out the research and development of equipment used for production, storage and transportation of hydrogen/ammonia powered by offshore wind actively, boost corresponding industrialization together with various parties, get through the new way to innovative development of industrial chain on hydrogen/ammonia production powered by offshore wind, help local and national energy structure transformation and foster new industries and new trends in the field of clean energy, making more contributions to the state’s “double carbon” target.

According to the agreement, various cooperation parties will regard the state’s “reaching carbon peak and achieving carbon neutral” as strategic target, DSIC will make use of its local advantages and the advantage and ability in equipment  used for production, storage and application of offshore  hydrogen/ammonia; Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics will make use of its development ability and advantage on key technology for hydrogen/ammonia production; CSSC Haizhuang Wind Power Co., Ltd. will make use of its ability and strength in the field of wind power development; and Guochuang Hydrogen Energy will make use of its ability and advantage on production and technical achievement transformation in the field of hydrogen fuel cell. Various parties will cooperate with each other closely focusing on development and utilization of ocean green energy, boost innovative application and development of hydrogen production, ammonia production, fuel cell and liquid hydrogen/ammonia storage technology in the field of shipbuilding and ocean engineering together, promote hydrogen/ammonia production powered by offshore wind and corresponding research and development and industrialization of its storage technology and equipment together, and drive the development of local and national green ocean economy.

leaders from Dalian Development and Reform Commission, Dalian Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, China Association for Hydrogen Energy and CSSC Science and Technology Department made speeches respectively and showed that they will give full support to promotion and implementation of the tasks under the agreement, making contributions to innovation and industrial development of local and national ocean hydrogen energy technology.
