Strong alliance reveals outstanding strength
The ship signed this time is another joint venture after the same type of ship cooperated by the three parties last year. It is a new Aframax type product independently developed and designed by DSIC in combination with the demand of CMES, with excellent safety, energy conservation, environmental protection and port suitability.
CMES is an important strategic partner of CSSC. The two sides have maintained close cooperative relationship and achieved fruitful results in many projects. CMES operates and manages the oldest and most experienced ocean tanker fleet in China. It is the leading operator of supertanker fleet in Greater China region and a major participant in domestic LNG import transportation projects. It controls the world's leading VLCC and VLOC fleets. Since 2007, DSIC, together with CSTC and CMES, has signed orders for more than 30 large ships with a total of nearly 9million DWT, including 300,000dwt VLCC, 175,000m3 LNG carrier and other high value-added ships. The successful signing of this project will continue to maintain the position of DSIC in the first tier of domestic shipyards in the field of medium and large tankers, consolidate the market share, and strengthen the market activity and competitiveness of this ship type. |
