On January 7, DSIC of China State Shipbuilding Corporation successfully delivered the 115,000dwt crude oil/product carrier “MAERSK STELLA” for Maersk Tankers, which achieved a good start for the first delivery of DSIC in the new year.
The ship is 250m long, 44m wide and 21.9m deep with design draft of 13.75m, structural draft of 15.35m and dead weight of 115,000 tons. The cargo hold area is of double shell, double bottom, single deck and longitudinal frame structure. The cargo hold is divided into 6 pairs of cargo tanks, 1 pair of dirty oil and water tanks and 1 residual oil hold. There are 6 pairs of ballast tanks on both sides of the cargo hold.
The ship has good ship, engine and propeller matching design, plus energy-saving guide wheels, which fully improve the efficiency of propulsion system. In addition, excellent vibration and noise design indexes are obtained by reasonable engine propeller coordination, room layout and structural design. |
