On March 12th, DSIC Tianjin Base successfully completed the trial of No.7 16,000TEU container ship built for Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A.（MSC）.
The ship is the third container ship built by DSIC Tianjin for MSC. The ship was out of dock on December 13, 2023, and it took only 84 days to reach the sea trial condition, 48 days earlier than the annual plan. The ship was in good condition with empty vessel, the state confirmation was completed in 2 hours, and the integrity of sea trial reached a record high. Before the sea trial, the project team, general assembly department and other departments carefully planned, closely organized, held several special meetings to pre-judge the risk in advance, clear the content of the sea trial and the test process.
During the trial, the project team organizes all the participating party members to set up the Party Vanguard Team, and the youth members to set up the Youth Commando Team. The team members study the sailing procedures one by one, optimize the trial voyage plan in-depth, take the main propulsion system as the main line, and take other test projects with corresponding working conditions and act as the auxiliary line of the trial voyage plan, and carry out the gridded management by combining the important and difficult work of the desulphurization system, the axle-belt generator, the air bubble damping system and other many test projects. Management, interspersed in the main push system test program in blocks. The participants strictly implemented the test plan, communicated with the ship owner and ship inspector, and adjusted and optimized the test plan according to the actual situation, so as to further compress the test cycle effectively. In the end, all the test items were passed in one go, and all the systems operated stably, completing the sea trial mission beyond expectation.
After the ship returns to the factory, the project team will work with all departments to actively carry out work on projects such as the closure of sea trial opinions, the whole ship equipment demonstration plan, and the pre-delivery construction plan, and launch the final charge toward the delivery node to ensure the delivery of a high-quality ship to the shipowner. |
