On November 10, the 85000-ton bulk carrier No.1 built by DSIC Tianjin for Taizhou Jiahang Shipping Co., Ltd. was successfully delivered with an excellent performance of 141 days ahead of the contract period, marking the completion of the whole shipbuilding process of DSIC Tianjin.
Affected by the epidemic, the delivery ceremony was held simultaneously in Taizhou、Shanghai、Dalian and Tianjin in the form of video. Yang Zhizhong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Company under China State Shipbuilding Corporation, Han Guanglei, Chairman of Taizhou Jiahang Shipping Co., Ltd., and responsible person of relevant units attended the cloud deliver ceremony.
Introduction of ship type
The bulk carrier is the first ship contracted to be built by DSIC Tianjin since its unveiling operation. With a length of 227.2 meters, a width of 36 meters, a designed draft of 11.5 meters, and a designed speed of 14.1 knots, the ship adopts MAN main engine, which meets the CSR requirements of 2021 edition. The main engine is equipped with SCR denitrification device, which greatly improves the environmental performance. It is a new generation of energy saving and environmental protection bulk carrier after Kamsar upgrade, classified into CCS.
A model of unity and endeavor
Since the construction of the project began, all staff of DSIC Tianjin have taken the initiative to meet the difficulties, overcome the adverse factors such as the epidemic, and ensure that all production nodes are completed on time. During the construction of the project, the process improvement such as grit sweeping at block stage and fillet weld air tightness test was achieved in a breakthrough to accelerate the project construction process. Vigorously promote the process forward, the total group stage has achieved 115P/S bright light. The docked generator inspection and engine room oil tank strength inspection were completed ahead of schedule, and a new breakthrough was made in the integrity of engine room area in the dock. After undocking, the underwater commissioning cycle only takes 55 days,17 days ahead of the annual plan to achieve the trial node. During the trial, the work plan of “taking the main propulsion system as the main line and interspersing auxiliary test items” was formulated. The trial was planned to take 4 days, but the actual inspection only took 80 hours to complete ahead of schedule. And it only took 17 days to complete all the comments after the trial, which were unanimously approved by the ship owner and ship inspection.
The successful deliver of the ship is a model of all cadres and staff of DSIC Tianjin to work together and forging through the whole shipbuilding process. It marks a good start in civil product construction of DSIC Tianjin, which not only accumulates rich experience for subsequent ship building, but also lays a solid foundation for building an important large-scale civil product assembly production and construction base for Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Company.
