On October 28, No. 3 crude oil/product tanker of 115,000dwt “MAERSK SONIA” built for Maersk Tankers was signed for delivery by DSIC.
The ship has excellent fuel-saving and cargo carrying performance. It is a new generation of crude oil/product tanker independently designed, developed and built by DSIC.
The ship has good design of hull, engine and propeller matching, plus energy-saving guide wheels, which fully improve the efficiency of propulsion system. In addition, the reasonable engine and propeller coordination, room layout and structural design have obtained excellent vibration and noise design indicators, and the actual ship has verified that all design indexes are excellent.
The ship has total length of 250.00m, profile width of 44.00m, profile depth of 21.90m, design draft of 13.75m, structural draft of 15.35m, and carrying capacity of 115,000 tons. During sea trial, DSIC has overcome the displacement limit of deep well pump for cargo oil system and completed all trial tests within 6 days, reaching the advanced level in shipbuilding industry. |
