On December 6, No.17 85,000dwt bulk carrier built by DSIC Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (SHGSIC) for Fortune Ocean Shipping was successfully delivered 30 days ahead of the annual schedule, which is the first ship delivered in excess of 12 ships completed for the annual task.
With total length of 227.2 meters and design sailing speed of 14.1 knots, the ship is registered with ABS classification society and meets the requirements of IMO Tier III emission standards. It has the characteristics of fast speed, low energy consumption and strong adaptability, etc.. In terms of energy consumption index, environmental protection performance and reliability requirements, it has reached the world level of same type of ships.
SHGSIC sticked to the goal without relax and took a series of effective measures to overcome the impact of the epidemic. Party members and cadres took the lead in front and continuously seize the time of day and night. Personnel at key posts have been on duty at the plant for more than a month. By combining online technical communication and self-commissioning, SHGSIC has carried out trial 20 days ahead of the annual schedule, and the integrity of the trial reached a new high, setting the "new benchmark" for 85,000dwt bulk carrier built by SHGSIC. We made every effort to ensure the delivery node, fully demonstrating the "SHGSIC speed" and the ability to keep improving shipbuilding management.
At the end of 2022, the production rhythm of SHGSIC has entered the sprint stage in an all-round way. In accordance with the unified deployment of DSIC, we will further unify thoughts, refine goals and tasks, and make full efforts to "deliver ships quickly and deliver high-quality ships", ensuring the delivery of 14 ships with high quality, exceeding the annual target and tasks, and practicing the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress with practical actions. |
