On August 11, the naming ceremony was held for No.13 85,000dwt bulk carrier built by Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Corporation (SSIC) for Shandong Huachen Financial Leasing Corporation. The ship was named "TRANSCENDEN CRYSTAL".
Gao Tao, chief economist of Shandong Marine Group, Ding Yi, deputy general manager of DSIC under CSSC and leaders of relevant units attended the naming ceremony.
The ship is the first new-type energy-saving and environment-friendly ship built by SSIC for Shandong Huachen Financial Leasing Corporation. The ship is 227.2m long, 36m wide, 20.35m deep, the design draft is 11.5 meters, the carrying capacity is 84,743 tons and the speed is 14.1 knots. The ship is equipped with seven cargo tanks, with each tank capacity of about 105,000 cubic meters. The integrity score of the ship during trial reached 99.04 points, which is in line with IMO Tier III standard and reaches the world level of the same type of ships.
At present, SSIC has started construction of 26 85,000dwt bulk carriers and successfully delivered 11 of them. The No.13 85,000dwt bulk carrier will be the 8th ship delivered by SSIC this year. SSIC will continue to reduce costs, improve efficiency, work out "SSIC speed", and make every effort to sprint for the annual target. |
