DSIC held signing ceremony for the delivery of No.5 307,000dwt VLCC built for China Shipbuilding Insurance Brokers Co. on May 6.
This ship is a new generation of highly competitive brand ship independently developed by DSIC. With length of about 333m, width of 60m and depth of 30m, the ship belongs to unlimited navigation area type with a range of more than 25,000 nautical miles. It can normally carry 2 million barrels of crude oil through the Strait of Malacca at design draft of 20.5 meters. Its energy saving and environmental protection features are very significant as follows. The stern of the chimney is installed an independent desulphurization scrubber tower room. The excellent hull line is equipped with more energy-saving G-type main engine and new large-diameter high-efficiency propeller, with high-efficiency energy-saving combination device of independent intellectual property rights in front and back of the propeller.
Since the construction started, DSIC has coordinated production resources and reasonably formulated schedule plan to ensure the production work in each area progress hand in hand and each production node in dock is completed on schedule. DSIC put forward the working tenet of "rushing against time, emphasizing safety, focusing on quality, reducing cost and improving efficiency", established communication platform to exchange production information actively and improve production efficiency. The full-time management personnel of the region kept close watch on forefront production every day, and reported progress at special meeting, so as to achieve the goal of early warning for the lag and feedback for the problems. Timely communication with the shipowner during project inspection, rectification of problems at the first time, and closed management mode have ensured the passing rate of inspection.
The ship was undocked on January 16 and started sea trial on March 31. The underwater mooring period was only 74 days. All trial tasks were completed and the ship returned on April 9. Pre trial status has basically reached the completion state, laying a solid foundation for subsequent delivery. |
