The Shipbuilding Efficiency Is Awesome: 4 Milestones Completed in 8 Days
On July 23, the 9# 3900TEU container vessel of KOTA Sempena constructed for PIL has been named and delivered by DSIC. Same day, the 43# 180000 DWT bulk carrier has launched from the slipway successfully. On July 22, the 65# 300000 DWT VLCC constructed for Shandong Landbridge Group has conducted the steel cutting. On July 16, 3# 8800TEU container vessel of MSC Meline constructed for CIMC Financing Lease Co. Ltd. and MSC has been named and delivered. 4 milestones have been completed in 8 days, showing that DSIC’s production is in full swing, which have laid a solid foundation to fully complete the second-half-year production task and target.
Due to tight building period and intensive milestones of the 9# 3900TEU container vessel, to ensure various milestones to realize punctually, DSIC has positively executed the ideas of management in place and construction in place; with the precision management as a breakthrough, conducted tight control on the locating precision of general assembly so as to decrease the trim rate of general-assembly seams; ensured compliance with the production schedule with quality control, optimized the guidance documents, improved the gridding responsibility system of quality, verifying system and site oversight mechanism, organized the construction staff to go deep into the site, and strictly monitored the welding quality of hull and piping system, and construction quality of M/E shafting and rudder system so as to boost the acceptance inspection progress and pass rate; raised the quality and benefit with innovative construction method and followed such method to create the prerequisite for completing the pre-undocking installation of lashing bridges; accomplished the target with the initiative action and drawn up relevant proposals and measures to complete various major milestones, such as A/E, boiler and M/E mooring, etc. in the phase of in-water construction so as to realize the target of production plan in order and resources under rational allocation.
In the construction of 43# 180000 DWT bulk carrier, DSIC, based on the goal-oriented periodic integrity, has refined the minor milestones and medium ground and in-water scheduling plans for special ship, where the erecting integrity of engine room block has been improved by a larger margin than that on the first vessel. To boost the lifting efficiency of cranes, the record, collection and analysis, together with improvement measures to be put forward, have been conducted at the stage of all block hoists for the same type of vessels, where the lifting efficiency of cranes on 43#vessel is 13% higher than that on 42# vessel. The integral hoisting after general assembly of hatch coamings has been put into force by improving the construction period, which has received good effect in decreasing the erecting time, 3 days to be shortened on average, creating favorable conditions for aligning the levelness of hatch coamings on the general-assembly yard.
