On November 25, No.2 85000dwt bulk carrier built by DSIC Tianjin for Taizhou Jiahang Shipping Co., Ltd. was successfully delivered with the outstanding performance of 126 days ahead of the contract period.
The ship is 227.2m in length, 36m in width, with design draft of 11.5 meters and design speed of 14.1 knots. The MAN main engine equipped with SCR denitration device on ship meets the requirements of CSR 2021, which greatly improves the environmental protection performance. It is a new generation of energy-saving and environment-friendly bulk carrier after the upgrade of Kamsarmax, and is classified as CCS.
Overcoming difficulties and moving forward
During the construction of the ship, all the staff of DSIC Tianjin worked together to overcome the influence of epidemic and other unfavorable factors, coordinate the allocation of resources, improve the production efficiency, take the plan as the outline, focus on the target without relaxation, to achieve the trial node 37 days ahead of the annual plan, complete three major test delivery of ship collapse test before sea trial, power loss start-up test, ballast water treatment and sampling inspection in breakthrough. It took only 60 hours to complete all trial projects and return port smoothly, making the integrity of the sea trial reach a new high.
Under the strong leadership of DSIC, all the cadres and staff of DSIC Tianjin have identified the gaps, strengthened the weak points and weaknesses, and insisted on the problem-oriented approach, continuously consolidated basic management, steadily promoted the large-scale general section construction of ships, comprehensively controlled project safety, quality and production schedule, and overfulfilled the delivery of 85,000dwt bulk carrier series ships, achieving good results from commencement to delivery of two ships within one year.
